About the Author and Instructor

Alison Santa Maria is a nationally Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT, aka Dyslexia Therapist) who has specialized in dyslexia identification and remediation since 2012. Alison's experience ranges from public school reading interventionist, to educational consultant, president of a board of directors, and more; however, her heart lies in her private practice, Springs Literacy Center, where she has thrived to help her students achieve literacy success for the past decade. Along with the latest science of reading research, her many years of training and experience prepared her to write an incredible curriculum, Systematic Spelling, that yields incredible outcomes for students. 

When she's not busy teaching a full caseload of private students, Alison enjoys making pottery, hiking in beautiful Colorado with her golden-doodle Hoagie, throwing disco dance parties, or spending time with her family and many friends.
